Meet Nick Barr
Nick is an accomplished director and producer with over 15 years of experience in the film, television, and advertising industries. In addition to managing several small businesses, he offers his expertise as a consultant while producing and directing content in Austin, Texas.
Following his film school education, Nick had the opportunity to work with Lance Young, the former head of DreamWorks, where he gained invaluable experience in coverage and pitching projects to an array of studios and production companies. His career journey continued as he collaborated with Marlon Wayans and Yahoo co-founder Randy Adams, overseeing the production of numerous sketch and comedy shows for their online platform, "What The Funny!?", the short-lived adjacent to "Funny or Die".Â
Nick further expanded his skillset as the Production Manager at Siren Studios, a boutique studio catering to clients ranging from Ford and Levi's to Katy Perry and Drake. There, he played a crucial role in the realization of countless productions. With a growing interest in advertising and marketing, Nick contributed to the success of two start-up companies before becoming a Creative Director at RingoFire, one of the nation's fastest-growing ad agencies according to AdWeek.
In his early years, Nick dedicated seven years of his life to serving in the US Navy as an Air Traffic Controller at TACRON-22 and Norfolk Naval Base. During his tenure, a combat veteran, he completed three deployments in various conflict-ridden oceans and deserts.
Nick's diverse background and wealth of experience make him an invaluable asset in the world of film, television, and advertising. Nick is passionate about sharing his wealth of knowledge and innate curiosity for personal development.
